Our Pastor:


Our pastor is Darren Edgington. He has been at LIGHTHOUSE since June of 2008. Darren loves a good book (as his ever-expanding library demonstrates!) and is passionate about proclaiming Jesus Christ and unpacking the amazing grace in the gospel. He gained wonderful experience and developed formative friendships with staff and students when he managed the bookstore at Reformed Theological Seminary while obtaining his Master's degree. Darren served in a newly formed church in the Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church while in seminary, and was thereafter ordained in that denomination. He has also served the church in various teaching and pastoral contexts for many years, and was recently privileged to contribute study notes for the Discover God Study Bible. Darren is often seen in his favorite pattern - camouflage! He is an outdoorsman who loves to search for morel mushrooms in the spring and hunt high in a tree seeking to see an evasive whitetail deer in the fall. He has been married to his lovely wife, Crystal, since June of 1988. Darren readily admits that he married "out of his league" and is so grateful for God's gracious provision of a helper perfectly suitable for him! The Edgingtons have also been blessed with two wonderful children. Their adult son Caleb Samuel is successfully furthering his education at Eastern Gateway Community College, and shares his father's passion for hunting deer. When Caleb is not studying for an exam, he likes exercising his fingers playing Xbox Live. Their daughter Glorious Joy is 14 years of age, a lovely teen full of dreams about the future. Glori loves her new Bengal cat and has a beaming smile that lights up her face - her name is very fitting!
